NEW RIVER VALLEY, VA
Josh Rothschild is preparing to plant a church in Virginia's New River Valley. This church will be on mission to reach people with the Gospel, build them as Christ’s church, and send them into the world to join God in His mission to renew all things.
The New River Valley Church Plant will seek to reach the lost, form lifelong disciples of Jesus, raise up new leaders, and embody the hope of Christ in everyday life. They desire to be transformed by Jesus’ deep love and make Him known in their community.
The church will aim to engage students, families, and professionals shaped by both cultural disillusionment and loneliness. With Virginia Tech and Radford University nearby, they desire to reach the next generation while also serving the underserved across the region.
This plant is partnering with Valley Bible Church and Harbor Network, who provide coaching, training, and resources for gospel-centered church planting. Sojourn Church Midtown will also serve as a source of encouragement. Together, they seek to multiply disciples, leaders, and churches for God’s glory and the good of the Valley and beyond.

JOSH ROTHSCHILD
Josh Rothschild and his wife, Amanda, have four children. Before serving as the planting pastor, Josh led college and discipleship ministries at Sojourn Church Midtown in Louisville, KY. Josh holds a PhD in leadership from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
