Partnership Roadmap

  • Stage 1: Develop

    The planter enters an intentional season of professional and strategic development with the sending church or network. During this stage, the planter raises support to cover payroll and operational services, which may be fully funded by the sending church. Equipt employs the planter and provides the full range of support outlined in the How We Help section.

  • Stage 2: Setup

    Building on the foundation of Stage 1, and following at least 12 months of employment with Equipt, we will, if desired, begin setting up the new church entity. This includes legal, financial, and administrative structures to ensure the church is prepared to launch well (additional fees may apply). Equipt continues employing the planter and providing the full range of support outlined in the How We Help section.

  • Stage 3: Operate

    With the systems established during the residency stages, the church begins operating under its own EIN. The planter transitions to employment under the church, and any remaining funds are transferred into the church's account. Equipt continues providing comprehensive operational support as the congregation gathers.

  • Stage 4: Transition

    After the church has been operating under its own EIN for at least 12 months, the church has the option to enter into a 6-month transition plan with Equipt. This is designed to strengthen administration and leadership for long-term sustainability. A church designee participates in a leadership development cohort to build executive and operational skills (coaching fees may apply). During this stage, operational responsibilities are gradually transferred to the church.

FAQ

  • Equipt provides financial and operational services to help alleviate administrative burdens for church plants, missionaries and other small ministry organizations

  • Equipt partners pay an industry-low 6% of donations, with a $100 to $200 monthly minimum, to receive the financial and operational services that Equipt provides. Partners may also expect a few small ministry costs of around $10-20 month. 

  • Equipt partners with a variety of organizations and individuals who benefit from our services. This includes new church plants throughout the US as well as other missionaries and ministry groups who are just beginning the work to which God has called them.  

  • Equipt has partners all over the United States. We are able to partner with individuals and organizations doing international ministry work as long as the partner holds U.S. citizenship.
