Advisory Boards
Equipt requires all ministry partners to have an advisory board.
The ministry partner’s advisory board helps to approve direction, offering important strategic oversight and support for the ongoing work of the ministry. Because the ministry falls under the Equipt 501(c)(3), the Equipt Board of Directors has legal authority but typically relies on direction from the partner’s advisory board.
Advisory boards are expected to conduct annual meetings and to submit signed approval from all members when making changes pertaining to the ministry leader’s role for salary changes/bonuses and/or other shifts where transparency benefits the ministry.
Please see the relevant charter linked below (church plant or gospel organization/missionary) which outlines the advisory board’s purpose and structure.
